Cory James (Owner)
My drive for operating heavy equipment comes from a long history of childhood experiences. It all started when I was about 5 years old on a little garden tractor on my grandfathers farm. I worked my way up to his Allis Chalmers HD-5 by the time I was 12, pushing rocks, piles of dirt, and knocking down weeds. I always enjoyed being around the heavy equipment and learning how the controls work. I spent many school vacations on heavy equipment for months at a time for my dad. I always wanted to run something newer, bigger or different.
I started Gem State Excavation, LLC because quality was a foreign concept to the excavation contractors of the valley. I had some work done on my house and the excavation contractor that was used did not compact the soil around my foundation which led to settling and cracked (floating) concrete. I tore out the old concrete, compacted the soil, and replaced the concrete with a new slab. I quickly realized I could offer something that no one else was willing to offer (quality on a budget).
With my many years of experience since I was a little kid operating heavy equipment, our companies 6 life practices, and Affordable, Quality Work Gem State Excavation, LLC is sure to be your excavation contractor of choice for all of your heavy equipment needs.
